The Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics (PAM) and Computer Science Libraries, Asia/Pacific Forum (PAM-APF)

Special librarians in the Asia-Pacific Region are invited to join a forum that is being established in the subject areas of physics, astronomy, mathematics and computer science. This forum, a project of the International Relations Committee Special Libraries Association Physics Astronomy and Mathematics Division (SLA-PAM), aims to foster the exchange of information among colleagues; and to inform publishers of technological weaknesses in the developing world, especially in the Asia-Pacific region. There is no financial cost involved with joining this forum, and members do not need to join the Special Libraries Association.

A regional online discussion list will assist these specialists to keep abreast of new developments and give access to advice from colleagues with similar interests or those who are facing similar problems. More information about the project is available at the PAM-APF Web site: http://msowww.anu.edu.au/library/pam/intro.htm If you have difficulty reaching this site, would like further information or have any suggestions, please contact the coordinator, Jeanette Regan. E-mail: jeanette.regan@anu.edu.au or Branch Librarian, Astronomy Library (ANU), Private Bag, Weston Creek PO, ACT 2611, Australia.
