Call for papers for Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities

Article Type: Call for papers From: Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities, Volume 6, Issue 6

We will be publishing several themed issues in 2013 and 2014 and would welcome submissions on the following topics:

  • Emerging themes from research: such as neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum conditions, brain imaging, people with intellectual disabilities in the criminal justice system

  • Transitions: child and adolescent, older adults, service interfaces, people moving between services, pathway development

  • Education: people with intellectual disabilities and carers as educators, trainee's experiences, international mental health and intellectual disability education and training, developing competence in generic services.

We would welcome the following types of papers: case studies, research, service development, personal opinion, practice and law/policy.

Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities is a high-quality resource for practitioners, managers and academics. The journal integrates current research with practice and keeps professionals up to date with a variety of different perspectives on developments in the field. It aims to support professionals in delivering high-quality and evidence-based practice and will provide a forum for the debate of current issues and opinions.
