ALADN 2001 conference comes to Washington, DC

ALADN, the Academic Library Advancement and Development Network, is an international, inclusive organization founded in 1995 and open to professionals in public and private institutions who have primary responsibility for or interest in academic and research library development and fund raising issues. ALADN encourages participation by advancement officers and deans/directors of libraries.

The 2001 conference is being hosted by Georgetown University and the Smithsonian Institution Libraries in Washington, D.C. The meeting will be held at the Marriott Leavey Conference Center on the Georgetown University campus from 1-4 April 2001. The theme for the 2001 conference is A Library Odyssey: Raising Visibility and Going for the Gold.

The ALADN conference will present sessions pertaining to academic and research library advancement and development issues, including but not limited to those implied by the above theme. Speakers with a variety of backgrounds and positions will share their expertise by presenting information and case studies that will contribute to the professional development of individuals involved in this evolving specialty within libraries.
