which appeared in Business Process Management Journal, Vol. 8 No. 3, 2002

Sergio Beratta is Professor of Planning and Control Systems at the University of Padua (Department of Economics). His research interests are in the area of performance management systems, with a special focus on benchmarking, process management and risk management. His article "Methodological strategies for benchmarking accounting processes" (with A. Dossi and H.
