The three-day conference features speakers from industry and universities. Past representation has been from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russian, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, the UK, and the US.

The conference takes a global perspective. We encourage interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary proposals for: original research, complete session devoted to an issue, panel discussion, case studies, workshops or demonstrations. Areas of interest are:

  • best practices in corporate communication;

  • communicating through crisis and change management;

  • corporate communication and the UN global compact;

  • corporate communication policy and strategy;

  • corporate governance, policy, and practice;

  • corporate social responsibility and ethics;

  • cross cultural communication and stakeholder relations;

  • government relations;

  • image, identity, and reputation management;

  • integrated advertising and marketing;

  • internal corporate communication;

  • internet/intranet practices;

  • investor relations;

  • issues in corporate communication management;

  • issues management;

  • old and new media relations;

  • performance measures for corporate communication;

  • public diplomacy and business;

  • qualitative and quantitative research methodologies;

  • research: theory and practice;

  • strategic public relations;

  • sustainability and corporate communication; and

  • transparency and corporate reporting.

The deadline for submission of proposals to the Corporate Communication Institute is 15 January 2007. Please write a 300- 500 word abstract of your paper or summary of your idea and send to cci@corporatecomm.org attention of: Dr Michael B. Goodman, Director, Corporate Communication Institute. Include your contact information (name, position, organization, mail address, e-mail address, phone and fax).

General information

Registration fees including meals and accommodation are:

  • US 600 for CCI members.

  • US 650 for presenters.

  • US 1,025 for corporate non-members (includes annual CCI membership).

  • US 750 for academic/non-profit non-members.

  • US 525 for graduate students.

  • US 450 for guests of attendees.

Conference presenters. 250 deposit required by 1 March 2007 following paper/proposal acceptance. Full payment is due by 1 May 2007.

Best paper award

Refereed papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Best and Highly Commended Paper awards, sponsored by Emerald, will be presented at the conference to the authors of the best papers overall. Papers will also be considered for publication in Corporate Communications: An International Journal.

Conference venue

Conference attendees are accommodated at Wroxton College either in Wroxton Abbey, a seventh century Jacobean Mansion, parts of which date back to 1217, or the college's renovated Carriage House. Enjoy glorious views of the surrounding 56 acres of lawns, ponds, and woodlands. Easy transport links to London, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick Castle.
