This issue contains a special section on change communication, Edited by Mark van Vuuren and myself, which is introduced after the regular papers. The first paper in this issue is an original paper on the role of corporate art in the projection of the corporate identity in various countries. The second paper deals with a successful virtual community from a popular soft drink in Spain. The last regular paper in this issue is an interpretative exploration of the relationship between internal communication and organizational learning.

Many of you have probably already noticed that CCIJ has adopted the Scholar One online submission and review system. All papers submitted to CCIJ should now be submitted through http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/ccij. Several people at Emerald have been very busy setting up the system and adding reviewers for the journal. In the upcoming months we will be busy getting better acquainted with the Scholar One system. At the time of writing the first 13 papers have already been submitted via the system, and two of these 13 have received their reviews already. CCIJ has been steadily establishing a large community of reviewers; scholars who are willing to give feedback on the submitted papers, and without them, the journal could not exist. We think that, the review process will be greatly improved by the Scholar One system and we hope that authors and reviewers will notice the improvement.

At the Corporate and Marketing Communication Conference, organized at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana (Klement Podnar and Zlatko Jančič) CCIJ presented a best paper award for a Corporate Communication paper. Borut Marko Lah and Ursa Golob, from the organizing faculty received the award for their paper: A framework for the economic approach to public relations.

The upcoming issues of CCIJ promise to be very interesting. Not only, we are running a special issue on Integrated Communication, by Lars Christensen, Joep Cornelissen and Fuat Firat, and a special issue on International Communication Strategies of Technology or Knowledge Companies, edited by Lynn L.K. Lim and T.C. Melewar, but also one of the upcoming issues will present selected papers from the Corporate Communication Institute (CCI) Conference 2008 in June (Wroxton, UK). At the conference we presented for the first time in CCIJ’s history, the CCIJ volume 12 Emerald Literati Awards. Of the four award winning papers, two authors were presented with their awards at the conference, and the other winners have received their awards by mail. Mark van Vuuren, who won the Emerald Literati Award for Outstanding Paper, gave a keynote about his prize winning paper. We hope to have started a tradition with this ceremony, and also want acknowledge the help and support of Michael Goodman and Christina Genest of the CCI. As our official partner, CCI has been a true supporter of the journal, and we hope to maintain a long and happy relationship.
