Enthone-OMl names new vice president, chief technology officer

Bruce A. Marien has been appointed to the newly-created position of vice president, chief technology officer by Enthone-OMI Inc. He will have worldwide responsibility for managing, directing and co-ordinating all Enthone-OMI research and development activities.

Marien joins Enthone-OMI from Akzo Nobel Chemicals where he served as global program coordinator for the Polymer Chemicals Division. Prior to his position with Akzo, he was director of technology at Olin Corporation.

A magna cum laude graduate from the State University of New York with a BS degree in chemistry, he received his PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Maryland.

He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Industrial Research Institute, and the Institute of Material Science and will serve as a member of the Enthone-OMI Executive Committee, contributing important insight related to the future technical direction of the company.
