Everett Charles Technologies have announced the acquisition of Vitech Services BV, located in Geleen, The Netherlands. Vitech, established in 1985, is a provider of PCB test services, including board testing and repair, fixturing, and test consulting for PCB manufacturers within the European community. "Vitech's products and services offer excellent synergy with ECT's established Test Services Division business unit. This synergism will benefit the existing Vitech customer base through expanded technology leverage and access to ECT complementary products. As a result, our global customer base should expect a projection of local support in this region with ECT's leading bare board and back panel test solutions. We are pleased to add the talented and experienced test staff at Vitech to the organisation and look forward to their contribution exceeding our customer's test requirements," states Doug Olander, ECT test services director of operations.

Vitech offers advanced test capabilities, which already utilise many ECT tools including data preparation and fixture generation software, fixture hardware designs, and the latest bare board test and verification equipment. The acquisition of Vitech will further augment ECT's role as a global provider of PCB test services and supply additional support to its world-wide customer base.

Roland Moreau, managing director of Vitech, will remain in his position and will report directly to Doug Olander, ECT test services division director of operations. Sales and service will continue operations from the Vitech facility in The Netherlands.
