IPC has announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors. Steve Pudles, president at Nu Visions Manufacturing Inc., Bill Beckenbaugh, senior vice president of engineering and process technology at Sanmina, and Jim Herring, president and CEO of Circuit Service, Inc., were all appointed to special one-year terms during the IPC Board of Directors meeting in November.

The new appointees will fill vacancies on the IPC Board. "These new additions will continue to strengthen our board and maintain the board's excellent repesentation of the PWB and electronics assembly industries", said IPC president Denny McGuirk. "All three of the new appointees have demonstrated superb leadership skills and a commitment to the IPC and the industry".

Pudles has been involved in the electronics manufacturing service (EMS) since 1982 and has worked at Tanon Manufacturing, Electronics Associates, IEC Electronics, ITT and Restor Industries before joining Nu Visions Manufacturing in January 2000 as vice president and general manager.

As senior vice president, Beckenbaugh works with Sanmina's senior management team to establish the strategic technical direction for the company. He also brings more than 26 years of diverse, senior level technical management, the last 14 with Motorola, where he served as vice president and director of corporate manufacturing research.

Herring came to Circuit Service, Inc. as executive vice president of finance in February of 1996 and was appointed president and CEO in 1997. Herring has more than 30 years of experience as a professional financial advisor. He has served on IPC's strategic planning committee since 1996 and has been a featured speaker at IPC meetings.
