Orbotech Ltd has announced the introduction of its new Vision-300XL™ automated optical inspection (AOI) series for high volume backplane production of printed circuit board panel sizes up to 38" x 61".
The Vision-300XL improves yields and reduces panel handling on today's leading large panel applications. Taking full advantage of the system's dual-inspection table concept, the Vision-300XL comes with a dedicated on-line verification solution based on a microvideo camera and marker for simultaneous inspection and verification with no idle time. The system's unique laser-based detection capabilities including Triple-Vision image acquisition, advanced morphological image processing and new dynamic width matching analysis further extend system performance for even the most difficult material types such as treated coppers, oxidized materials and multi-metal plating as well as challenging inner and outer layer designs.
