OLEC introduces the Digital Core Punch

The Digital Core Punch (DCP) is a multilayer production punch tool that allows inner layers to be punched in near perfect alignment. The system employs AccuTray™ technology with fully programmable punch/no punch tolerance conditions. Bert Ohlig, OLEC president states, "The DCP is easy to use with the ability to change jobs in seconds. Yet, with a computer with panel registration and alignment tolerances, it is very accurate".

Among its many features, the DCP provides for faster throughput, has clear panel access and a laser guide for panel loading. The easy to manipulate touch screen user interface allows the operator to program the punch format. Then simply load and punch.

The DCP is also equipped with interchangeable, quick-change punch heads for a variety of applications. One piece of equipment can punch thin or thick panels; flex circuits; or film. Options include a shop network interface and a statistical data analysis package. Future innovations will include auto loading and unloading.
