Automatic Optical Test manufacturers, Lloyd Doyle announces a further installation of their unique and versatile duotech system. US-based Compunetics Inc has taken delivery of the equipment to their Monroeville, PA facility.

Compunetics is an ISO 9000 registered company and the installation of the duotech system will enable them to further demonstrate their commitment to quality during manufacture.

Rob Robillard, US sales manager commented: "Having the ability to optically test any pcb substrate on one system demonstrates Lloyd Doyle's commitment to providing the most cost effective solutions to board manufacturers. Compunetics certainly appreciated this approach".

The duotech is unique in its field as the only optical test system that offers both reflective light and fluorescent illumination for circuit imaging on the same machine providing maximum flexibility to allow the manufacturer to optically test the complete range of PCB materials from flexible circuits to low contrast copper foils.

The reflective side of the system uses the illumination from the recently released redline AOT system, whilst the fluorescent side of the machine utilises technology from the phasor range of equipment. Choice of illumination system is keyboard controlled and takes only 10 s to change selection. The duotech will be offered with a range of resolution options in addition to the usual selection of AOT system options including pinless registration, microvia hole inspection and remote diagnostics.
