Artetch achieves Green Belt in quality training

Based in Littlehampton, West Sussex PCB manufacturer Artetch Circuits is focussed on getting the best out of the team with the most recent success being Glenn Wallington – Production Supervisor at Artetch receiving his Six Sigma Green Belt. Glenn and eight of his work colleagues received certificates having completed a training course run by TEC concepts but Glenn got the additional award of the Green Belt in recognition of the outstanding work, he and his project team had undertaken in investigating and improving processes within the manufacturing operation.
Managing Director Martin Morrell commented “I am really pleased for Glenn to get this recognition. The work he has done as a part of the project is truly outstanding. We originally got involved when we were invited by one of our key Customers to join the ‘Supply Chain Group’ which works to improve quality and on-time delivery in the electronics industry.”
He continued “Having attended the initial two-day presentations, I realised that there was a lot that could benefit Artetch and help us improve our processes which would improve the service we give to our customers. Six Sigma training allows the discovery of how cooperation between customer and supplier can make significant improvements in the process of product supply. The work done within Artetch will have a lasting effect on our business.”
The Six Sigma success comes on the back of Artetch Circuits recent certification for AS9100 which allows the business to produce materials for use in the aviation and aeronautics industry. Six Sigma training was originated by Motorola to assist in the quality production of complex electronic material and is recognised by the British Standards Institute as a significant achievement for any UK-based business to achieve.
Artetch Circuits currently employs 90 staff and is one of the UK’s top-ten PCB manufacturers.
