Purpose – discusses the reasons why virtual teams may not be as productive as teams that work together in more traditional ways. Advises on how to ensure that virtual teamworking is effective. Describes how PriceWaterhouseCoopers US training operation uses virtual teams effectively, explaining the processes that are used to ensure that communication between team members is effective and that all team members contribute to their teams. Findings – argues that using the best and most up-to-date technology will not guarantee that virtual teams members work together effectively.
