Emerald Literati Club – Building an Author Community

The Literati Club is a uniquely comprehensive set of services for authors. It is available to every author who has published with Emerald and aims to offer a full range of benefits to the expert network formed by our authors.

Amongst the many valuable and unique features the Literati Club offers, the following recent initiatives are already proving popular with members:

The Emerald Literati Editing Service

Aimed primarily at authors whose first language is not English, the Emerald Literati Editing Service offers help in preparing papers for publication by correcting and improving grammar, writing style, punctuation and spelling. The editors have been carefully selected on the basis of their proven ability to provide quality results in these situations as well as for their extensive experience in the research fields published by the Emerald Fulltext database.

The editors involved in the Emerald Literati Editing Service are independent, and authors are put in touch with them directly, so there is no requirement that papers they work on be submitted to Emerald journals for publication. As ever, the service is offered in the hope of benefiting our authors and removing barriers to publication for those from the non-English-speaking world. It is another demonstration of our commitment to inclusivity in research.

The Emerald Research Register

  • Creates a meeting place for researchers to find collaborators for their research projects.

  • Facilitates the sharing of information with other researchers across academic disciplines.

  • Helps researchers gain peer recognition by publicising their work in progress.

  • Links researchers' work in progress to editors and publishers.

  • Publicises the work of individuals, departments and associations.

  • Acts as a source of information on research funding.

This unique, online, cross-disciplinary service for researchers in management, library services and materials science provides the research community with pre-publication information and the potential for further networking, alongside early information on new areas for application and development in the field.

Emerald Reprints

As part of the Literati Club service, all authors receive a pack containing a complimentary copy of the journal and five reprints of their article. Should authors wish to purchase further reprints of the article, branded with a full colour company or university logo, these are available to order. These high quality, professional documents make a bold and attractive statement that is sure to impress colleagues and customers alike, helping Literati members gain maximum benefit from their Emerald publication.
