Computers for profit

Abstract

READERS with good memories will recall a study which McKinsey & Company made in the USA under the title “Getting the Most Out of Your Computer”. It was published in 1963 and summarized at length in the Harvard Business Review for July/August 1963. This study reviewed progress to date in the use of business computers in a selection of 27 companies with a view to identifying the characteristics which distinguished the successful computer users from the unsuccessful ones.
