DEVELOPING A NEW COURSE — 1: A systematic procedure to manage the process of course development

Abstract

The Principal of Napier College of Science and Technology, Edinburgh, considers the processes of developing a new course, providing a list of the stages for those participating in course development. Set against a background of rapidly developing science and technology and the constant need for the re‐appraisal of post‐secondary education, he begins with the student's place in the operation.
