Putting it across loud and clear
Abstract
Communication is a much misunderstood word. It means more than just sending messages; proper communication consists of achieving a fully reciprocal understanding between two (or more) people, and this is a very complicated process. One person (the sender) has to turn his thoughts or intentions into words (written or oral) which he intends to communicate to the other. Some senders take a great deal of trouble to prepare and polish what they are going to say in an attempt to achieve a perfectly clear message. Others do not — they say or write the first thing that comes into their heads.
