Training for survival
Abstract
When I accepted the invitation to speak I was under the impression that I would be talking about careers. When I received the theme of the conference, I was amazed that anyone should assume that training could in any way help us to survive. I had, of course, momentarily fallen into the trap of thinking, in the old fashioned way, that training amounted to job instruction.
