On course with inter‐personal relationships
Abstract
Any member joining a new or established working group will almost invariably have a number of personal concerns to cope with before he or she can make an effective contribution to the task of the group. These concerns are at different levels, the first giving rise to the second and so on, as the person's individual needs begin to be satisfied. But they are also inter‐related in the sense that meeting any one of them will help towards meeting the others.
