Abstract

Last month in Part I, having explained in some detail the traditional theories of motivation, we noted that in a growing number of organisations, including such effectively managed corporations as IBM and 3M, the new approach is to focus on direct behavioural modification. This month we shall develop those ideas in more detail, and produce a step‐by‐step guide to the techniques involved.
