Skills training for personnel management

Abstract

Training courses for personnel managers currently consist of Post Graduate Diplomas in Personnel Management for those with a first degree or similarly qualified and courses leading to Membership of the Institution of Personnel Management whose examinations are recognised to be of pass degree standard. Fine, if you are academically qualified and wish to make a career in personnel management leading to the top of the tree, with a seat on the board, as personnel director. At policy making and senior executive level the knowledge thus acquired can probably be used in full for the first time.
