New look for the eurocompany: The issue of representation on the supervisory board

Abstract

The Commission of the Common Market is, without any doubt, the front runner in the move to bring about more effective means of employee participation. What it ultimately achieves will lay down the pattern for industrial democracy for some time to come and will iron out the wide differences which exist at the moment. In May 1975 the Commission published a new version of its EUROPEAN COMPANY STATUTE: This document is important to all companies, whether inside or outside the Common Market, since it will, in the immediate future, be seen as laying down the main guidelines in this field.
