Recognition and orientation of component profiles within the low resolution of teletext graphics
Abstract
Teletext as a communication and information medium has aroused considerable interest in the U.K. and the system has been under test for three years by the national television broadcasting authorities. The graphics resolution of the service is adequate for many industrial applications including orientation and inspection problems prior to robot handling. Some early work relating the medium of Teletext to profile recognition is discussed in the light of the available resolution.
