Abstract

This article examines the corrosion of Brunsmet MF‐A1 stainless steel filaments made by Brunsmet Corp., Chicago, Illinois 60602, in various commonly encountered solutions of several chemicals and compares these results with the resistance of type 304 stainless steel. Generally, of all the properties, chemical resistance is a primary consideration in determining whether a given metal or alloy is adequate for a proposed use.
