Abstract

Holds the belief that the development of artificial intelligence (AI) systems requires the growth of the analysis processes, from electronic data processing (EDP) to management information systems (MIS) and through expert systems (ES). Discusses the background to AI developments, and the current trends in the different development patterns. Examines the steps necessary to build an effective AI system.
