The National Conference of Professors of Educational Administration: A Stimulator and Forum for Professors
Abstract
The National Conference of Professors of Educational Administration (NCPEA) first met in 1947. It has met each August since then on various campuses throughout the United States. The organization is a non‐membership association of Educational Administration Professors and the meetings are devoted to the in‐service education of the participants. Of the 1,200 persons on its current mailing list, some 140 gather each year to exchange ideas and study new developments and problems as they affect education and schools. Attendance rosters include professors of administration from any institution which prepares school administrators. NCPEA has produced or sponsored several publications and It has provided leadership in educational change. The efforts of its officers and participants arc almost solely directed toward planning and participating in its one‐week conferences. Its twentieth annual meeting is scheduled for August 21–26, 1966 at Bloomington, Indiana, on the campus of the University of Indiana.
