Abstract

In an able article recently published by the Daily Mail, MR. C. A McCURDY, K.C., M.P., Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food and Chairman of the Committee on Trusts, points out that no one can doubt that the existence of a monopolistic control of foodstuffs by a “ring” is fraught with danger to the consumer. Nor is it easy to suggest any remedy that can be really effective in the absence of concerted action on the part of the Governments concerned.
