Abstract

IT WAS AS a result of visiting Australia and seeing the Apprenticeship Week celebrations there that the Duke of Edinburgh suggested the Commonwealth Technical Training Week, which is to be held throughout the Commonwealth in 1961. In Great Britain the organisation of the Week will be in the hands of local authorities; the central administrative responsibility has been accepted by the City and Guilds of London Institute of which the Duke is President.
