Abstract

Laboratory work can be split into two parts; demonstrations, by which many basic principles can be taught, and ‘task experiments’ in which students are taught how to perform experimental analysis. The students would have to determine what tests to make when solving an experimental problem; they would also have to decide what apparatus to use.
