Abstract

In a power hungry world fuel cells represent one of the most interesting ways in which electricity may be developed from normal fuels silently, at high efficiency and without noxious products. For this reason G. Cussons Ltd have introduced a fuel cell that has been specifically designed for teaching purposes. It operates at room temperature and atmospheric pressure and is therefore safe and easy to handle. The cell will produce sufficient power for a number of worthwhile experiments to be carried out, and for the efficiency of the conversion to be determined.
