Abstract

Exports, so vital to our country's well‐being, don't just happen — overseas customers have to be skilfully stalked, expertly wooed and carefully cosseted. Experience has shown that one of the most successful ways for a firm to make an initial contact abroad is to get its products seen and discussed in the foreign country. Shop window for Exports (col, 24 min) explains three major government‐sponsored schemes for doing just this: Overseas Trade Fairs, British Weeks and Store Promotions.
