Abstract

In the first article we looked at some of the basic conditions required for efficient study. We saw that self‐motivation, good organisation, persistence and self‐confidence are all ingredients for success. Intelligence, which I am inclined to define as speed of thought, is a useful, but not perhaps the most fundamental, ingredient. The hare overtakes the tortoise to begin with; but the tortoise wins in the end.
