Abstract

When the leading US magazine Fortune asked more than 50 chairmen, presidents and vice‐presidents to rank the ten worst wasters of their scarce and valuable time, telephone interruptions headed the list. And the problem appears to be growing since the introduction of STD. How best then to handle it? The first step is to ascertain its gravity. For this the minimum information required is:
