BEC and the accounting technician
Abstract
The Association of Accounting Technicians has a particularly close connection with BEC. It is quite fortuitous that its first President, Mike Lickiss, was also Chairman of the latter's B2 Financial Studies Board, and that this foot‐in‐both‐camps stance resulted in no harm to any of the parties involved. It is the result of a more deliberate policy decision by AAT that John Sellars, the Chief Officer of BEC, is a co‐opted member of its Council: so far the only one. Either, let alone both, of these appointments manifests the close connection between the two bodies.
