Abstract

The major developments in library co‐operation during the year 1978–79 are examined. The work of the National Committee is described, including topics such as the legality of passing on charges to the borrower, provision of fiction, lending rare and expensive books and the problems arising from semi‐published or unpublished non‐book material. The activities of the regional co‐operative schemes have widened and notes are given on recent developments region by region. Interlending activities between university libraries are presented, as are developments in local schemes of library co‐operation and interlending.
