BENTALLS COMES TO BRACKNELL: Electronic terminals in operation

Abstract

New superstores are commonplace these days, but in the context of a rapidly changing retail environment the appearance of a new department store — not simply the extension of an existing one — is something of a novelty. Bentalls' attractive and technically well‐equipped store at Bracknell has an especially interesting feature: it carries the first complete NCR 280 retail terminal system to be installed in a department store in Europe.
