Abstract

Hanley and Bar Hill (Cambridgeshire) are two of the latest stores to be opened by Tesco, and they are interesting in that they demonstrate that company's commitment both to out‐of‐town and to city centre development. Hanley, with nearly 60,000 sq ft, is particularly large for a city centre unit; its Home ‘n’ Wear department takes up more than half this area.
