Abstract

The recent arrival of the programmable microcomputer has been found fortuitous by Birds Eye, who are using it as part of their policy of distributed processing, and specifically as a facility for their salesforce. The device being used is the Data Recognition Dataport 5. At the moment the system is being used on a trial basis only, but it is hoped it will meet the administration and selling needs of salesmen, and improve communications and control with the central sales organisation.
