Analysis: forms of buildingcontracts

Abstract

Contracts for the construction and fitting out of buildings are a formalisation of traditional roles in the procurement of buildings. The complexities of buildings have multiplied and the consequent role of the facilities manager is not taken into account in most contracts. If he is to protect his situation from the consequences of a contract, and maximise the benefits from it, then he must be familiar with the alternatives.
