Abstract

‘Cathweld’ Connections (Publication No. 78). F. A. Hughes & Co. Ltd. This leaflet deals with a process by means of which a connection having low electrical resistance and good mechanical properties can be made between steel pipe and cable. Cathwelding can be used for securing electrical continuity cable, which is necessary when applying cathodic protection to pipelines where flexible couplings are employed.
