Abstract

Aluminium coating. Ferrous metal is coated with alu‐minous metal by covering the surface of the ferrous metal with a dry, solid Cl2‐free flux containing 65 to 85 wt.% alkali metal bromide(s) and KF or K acid fluoride and immersing the body in a bath of molten aluminous metal. The process is used particularly for coating wire or strip.—Brit. Pat. 757,932, Aluminum Co. of America (U.S.A.).
