Cellulose Acetate Butyrate's Role in Protection

Abstract

Many engineering materials are subject to corrosion by a variety of causes. In combating this, a host of protective substances have been tested with varying degrees of success and it is very apparent that there is no universal panacea. As a newcomer in this field, cellulose acetate butyrate has some advantages to offer which can be of considerable assistance to the corrosion technologist.
