FINDING NEW PAINT SYSTEMS
Abstract
Users of paint are becoming increasingly aware that a coat of paint to brighten up their steelwork is not sufficient to prevent it from being eaten away—not only by chemicals, but by the elements also. It has become increasingly apparent that, before modern paint systems can be of use to the consumer, the fullest knowledge of the prevailing conditions must be obtained by the technical service department and research laboratories of the paint manufacturer. The following is an account of some of the work of this type carried out by Messrs. Donald Macpherson & Co. Ltd.
