Abstract

Theory of local elements. A graphical method has been developed for the calculation of local elements of corrosion, taking into account changes in polarisation of potentials and resistivities. A knowledge of certain specified values is essential in designing the graph and these values must be taken from experimental work as outlined in the article. The graph expresses all values required for the complete evaluation of the local element theory of corrosion. (V. Cupr, Werkstoffe & Korrosion, 1957, 8, (7), 385–389.)
