Abstract

Sprayed metal coatings can provide cathodic protection for steel and iron, but not all the coatings behave in a similar manner under differing corrosive conditions. It is shown here how the development of a zinc‐aluminium alloy for spray application has considerably increased the range of conditions in which one metal coating may be used.
