Abstract

Lock Gates Protection. Some 7,000 gal. of Evode ‘505’ black asphaltic bituminous paints, heavy grade, were used for painting lock gates on the St. Lawrence Seaway. These gates are in use only 7.5 months of the year due to the great freeze. When in use the locks work round the clock, some of them passing 25 million tons of water in 10 min.
