Abstract

In the present economic situation in the marine industry, any possible financial savings must be considered seriously. The protection and the preservation of the structure of the ship is of paramount importance in safeguarding the Owners investment. The preservation of the appearance of the ship is important in that it conveys at first sight an impression of the efficiency of the vessel, particularly to a charterer.
