Corrosion Commentary

Abstract

ITRI continue studies into the corrosion resistance of drawn redrawn cans for acidic fruit packaging. The ITRI are currently undertaking simulated can corrosion tests using tinplate samples which have been subjected to drawing operations. The processes represent those employed in the manufacture of drawn redrawn containers.
