Report from the Swedish Corrosion Institute
Abstract
The efficiency of the ML‐method for anti‐rust treatment of cavities on motor vehicles. At the beginning of the 1960s the so‐called ML‐method was introduced in Sweden for anti‐rust treatment of motor vehicles. It chiefly means that motor vehicle cavities and joints are coated with a so‐called temporary anti‐rust agent. This protection is a complement to the basic protection the body receives on manufacture. The method has in due course become widespread and is today used extensively both in car manufacture and on the after market. Despite this efficiency of the method has not been subjected to any extensive systematic field examinations.
